About Me
Experienced Counseling Professional
Amber Cote, MA, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Connecticut. She holds a B.S. in Psychology from Eastern Connecticut State University and an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Roger Williams University.
Post graduate work began in 2014 at Arbour-Fuller Hospital where she worked on both the partial hospitalization program and Enhanced Acute Treatment Unit working with individuals with dual-diagnosis, substance use, and psychiatric illness. In 2016, she began working in a local outpatient mental health clinic working as an individual psychotherapist. During her time there, she worked with individuals experiencing a wide range of symptoms including depression, anxiety/panic, trauma/PTSD, substance use, relationship/occupational difficulties, and chronic pain/illness or disability. She utilizes an eclectic mix of skills including DBT, CBT, holistic therapy, play therapy, and others.

When she is not working, Amber enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, swimming, being outdoors, and riding horses. She is an avid animal lover who is currently training her dog for therapy work.
